What information we collect
Information you provide
sweep-stakescasino.ca does not operate any casino and does not collect account registration information. If you contact us via email (contact form), we collect your email address and any information you include in your message — solely to respond to your inquiry.
Automatically collected information
Like most websites, we collect standard server log data: your IP address (anonymised), browser type and version, referring URL, pages visited, and time of visit. This data helps us understand traffic patterns and improve content. It is not sold to third parties.
Cookies
We use the following cookie categories:
- Strictly necessary: Session cookies required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: Anonymous traffic statistics (Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled). You may opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
- Affiliate tracking: When you click a partner casino link (e.g., adminclick.org), a tracking cookie may be set by the destination site to record the referral. This is subject to their privacy policy, not ours.
How we use information
We use collected information to: (1) deliver and improve site content; (2) understand which pages are most useful; (3) respond to contact form inquiries; (4) compile anonymous aggregate statistics. We do not use your data for direct marketing without explicit opt-in consent.
Affiliate disclosure
sweep-stakescasino.ca contains affiliate links to sweepstakes casino partners. When you register at a partner casino through our links, we may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay or our independent editorial ratings. All affiliate relationships are disclosed throughout the site.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — may set cookies for performance caching. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics — anonymised traffic analytics. Opt out: GA Opt-out.
Your rights under PIPEDA
As a Canadian resident, you have the right to: access any personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; withdraw consent for non-essential data collection at any time; file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To exercise these rights, contact us at: [email protected]
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months and then deleted. Server log data is anonymised after 90 days. Analytics data is retained for 26 months in anonymised form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when required by law or when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
